Nindo ("we", "us") is an exam preparation and institute-management platform used by coaching institutes, admins, and students. This policy explains what information we collect through Nindo websites and apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and optionally a phone number, age, bio, and profile photo, provided when you create an account or edit your profile.
- Academic activity: mock test attempts, scores, answers, performance analytics, leaderboard standing, and batch/institute membership.
- Fee records: fee schedules and payment status recorded by your institute. Nindo does not collect or store your card or bank details; online subscription payments by institutes are processed by Razorpay.
- Messages: questions you raise about tests or fees, and conversations with AI chat (where enabled by your institute).
- Diagnostics: crash reports and basic device information, used solely to fix bugs and keep the app reliable.
How we use it
- To provide the platform: tests, results, analytics, classes, notes, and fee tracking.
- To let your institute manage batches, tests, and fees.
- To show leaderboards. You can hide yourself from leaderboards in Settings.
- To improve reliability through crash and error reporting.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Who can see your data
- Administrators of the institute you join can see your profile, test performance, and fee records for that institute.
- Other students can see your name and rank on leaderboards unless you opt out in Settings.
- Service providers that run our infrastructure: Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), Razorpay (institute payments), Google (AI features), and OpenAI/ChatGPT when the Nindo connector is used, each bound by their own privacy commitments.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete account in the mobile app, or by emailing us at the address below. Deletion removes your profile, test attempts, results, messages, and fee records from our systems.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Authentication is handled by Clerk; we never see or store your password. Access to your data is scoped to your institute.
Children
Nindo is intended for students preparing for competitive exams. If you are under 18, use Nindo only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or your institute.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
